She's here!!!

Charlotte Mae Fuhriman is here! She was born at 3:15 pm, April 6th 2008. 7 lbs, 13 oz., 19" long. She's got ten fingers, ten toes, two eyes, a nose, a mouth and two ears (which she didn't get from Dad, gratefully.) Mom is doing great. Her labor went really smooth; she woke up with steady contractions at about 3:40 in the morning, we went to the hospital around 7:00 am, at about 8:30 am they broke her water, she had steady contractions through the day, at about 11:15 she got an epidural after she had been doing a great job handling the pain. She fell asleep for a little while and then at about 2:30 the nurse said she looked like she was about ready. At 2:56 she started pushing and the baby was out by 3:15. Helen says she was surprised with how easy it all went and those of us who were there watching were all amazed with how well she did through it all.

Charlotte is absolutely beautiful. She's perfect in every way. Helen is gorgeous and is already talking about doing it all over again! We're excited to get her home and hope all of you can meet her personally very soon.

YEAH!! I am so excited for you Helen. Motherhood is an incredible journey, I couldn't be happier for you. Enjoy every minute with her. The lack of sleep can be daunting, but they grow so fast and when they first smile at you EVERYTHING is worth it. Congrats!
