Playing dress-up!

Charlotte's first party with the parents! She is showing off her bracelet that her Nana Pat got her!

She is such a good sport letting me dress her up and then followed by her father or me taking a picture! She just is so cute we can't help it!

She is even cute when she is just hanging out!

Long Time No Post...

Well, it's been a while since we've posted anything new. Sorry to all of you who have been checking diligently. Things have been busy here as we've been adjusting to life with a baby in the home, and entertaining family and guests who have come to see our little bundle of lovin'. Charlotte is as cute as ever and she seems to change from day to day. Since we brought her home from hospital, she's grown 2 inches and gained a pound and a half. Her hair and fingernails are longer, her eyes are bluer, and her poop is stinkier. It's been so much fun playing with her and watching her grow every day.

On April 20th, we took her to church for the first time and had her blessed. We had a lot of people come to share the day with us, and we had a great time. Charlotte cried most of the morning as we primped her and got her dressed, but then she was a perfect angel during the blessing. Here's a few fun photos for you to see.

We had a little open house afterwards and we had a lot of friends and family visiting.

Thank you to everyone who came and participated on that special day, and thank you to all of you who have contacted us by e-mail, phone, or mail to send your well-wishes. We hope all of you will have a chance to meet our little Charlotte soon.

Charlotte didn't like the bathing part too much...

But she loved having her hair washed.

We're trying to think of fun nick-names for Charlotte. What do you think?

She's home...

Charlotte's finally home now and we're so glad to have her. She's been sleeping, eating, and pooping a lot--which I guess is what they're supposed to do right now. When she's awake she's so much fun to look at. We find our selves constantly repeating things like, "Isn't she so cute," and "Oh what a pretty little baby." Here's one more photo just to give you an idea of how absolutely precious this little girl is:

Anyway, we know there are a lot of you who really enjoy seeing this photos, so we'll keep 'em coming. Be sure to check out Charlotte's Web to see what fun things she has to say!

Charlotte, Charlotte, and more Charlotte

Well, we've had two days with our little pooping, peeing, sleeping, nursing, fussing, goo-goo-ga-ga-ing bundle of sweet, precious, adorable, joy! She is so beautiful. We've also had 2 more days to take more pictures of her little sweetness, so we thought we ought to put some updated pictures up. It's amazing how much she has changed in these first few days. We can actually start to see her little characteristics and a little bi of her personality. I don't think Helen and I could be prouder of the beautiful little fruit of our loins :)

Enjoy the pics.

She's here!!!

Charlotte Mae Fuhriman is here! She was born at 3:15 pm, April 6th 2008. 7 lbs, 13 oz., 19" long. She's got ten fingers, ten toes, two eyes, a nose, a mouth and two ears (which she didn't get from Dad, gratefully.) Mom is doing great. Her labor went really smooth; she woke up with steady contractions at about 3:40 in the morning, we went to the hospital around 7:00 am, at about 8:30 am they broke her water, she had steady contractions through the day, at about 11:15 she got an epidural after she had been doing a great job handling the pain. She fell asleep for a little while and then at about 2:30 the nurse said she looked like she was about ready. At 2:56 she started pushing and the baby was out by 3:15. Helen says she was surprised with how easy it all went and those of us who were there watching were all amazed with how well she did through it all.

Charlotte is absolutely beautiful. She's perfect in every way. Helen is gorgeous and is already talking about doing it all over again! We're excited to get her home and hope all of you can meet her personally very soon.

Waiting Game

Just for all of you that check out our blog we are still waiting. Scott, my mom and are getting a little anxious, but this babe is just hanging out. Any suggestion on how to get this kid  moving? We've been watching lots of movies, playing games, and going on lots of walks. Come on little girl!
